·      Papers due to turnitin.com by 6P.M.

Home work:  Proofread and upload your paper to turnitin.com
·      Get help at LACER afterschool  if needed

Wednesday 9th:

Class work:

Focus: How do use of primary and secondary sources help us understand multiple points of view?
·      Annotate PML pp. 22-24

Homework:
·      Read and Annotate “ Free Minds and Hearts at Work”   by Jackie Robinson pp. 27-29 and “Jackie Changed the Face of Sports” pp. 30-32

Thursday10th:  Grades due!

Class work:
·      Complete “After You Read” pp. 33-35 PML on separate sheet/s of paper. Answer questions in complete sentences. Use the question to answer the question.

·      Download Graphic Organizer (Character Analysis using STEAL) for Constructed Response Paper in the 9th Grade folder in the BOX.

Friday 18th

Remember to: 
1.    Multi-space so you can edit
2.    Indent your paragraphs
3.    Check that every paragraph has a topic sentence
4.     Pay close attention to use of transition words.
5.    Capitalize Proper Nouns
6.    Use quotation Marks around Titles
7.    Use third person (he, she, it, they)
8.    Avoid colloquial language  (gonna, wanna, shoulda)
9.    Use descriptive language  (avoid stuff, things, thingies).
10.  No contractions in formal papers

11. BACK IT UP! Back up claims with textual evidence.
